International Joint Research Laboratory of Henan Province for Underground Space Development and Disaster Prevention, founded in 2016, relies on several key disciplines of Henan province, such as Civil Engineering, Mechanics, Mining Engineering, Geological Resources and Geological Engineering, etc. The lab was built to promote the development of basic research and technological innovation in the field of underground space development and disaster prevention. Taking discipline advantages of Henan Polytechnic University , the lab set four research fields.
